The 1000sf deck provides intimate access to some of the most stunning views in the region while still deferring to the existing landscape. The design is molded to the context, providing experiences rooted in the landscape, the tree canopy, and the valley sky – by way of a 12ft cantilever projecting out over the valley. Subtle rotations and sectional offsets allow for the deck to settle amongst the existing oak trees, accommodating large parties and small gatherings with equal comfort. Materials are carefully applied to organize spaces, integrate uses, and address demanding performative standards.
