Pump to Plug is an initiative designed to solicit and analyze creative responses to the challenges and opportunities posed -- in urban, architectural and environmental terms -- by the transition to electrified mobility. Organized by Christopher Hawthorne, Chief Architecture Critic for the City of Los Angelels, SAW was invited to create a proposal for the design a new charging station typology.

Our proposal, PLA,is defined by its’ flexible modular approach to facilitating new forms of electric urbanism.
